This will probably be the most boring page on this site.
But as all axis run smooth now i will need to make a router bed for the cnc router.
I used waterproof MDF as the base for the bed.
On top of that is a 12mm MDF spoil board with a 5cm raster of holes.
The spoil board is the maximum work area of the mill, and can therefor be resurfaced if needed.
The raster of holes is to clamp workpieces with M6 bolts.
In the below movie you can see there is much to learn, the router did not like a 12mm dept of cut.
I wanted a Kress badly , but to bad the FERM router did not die…
For last I want to tell that waterproof MDF is not strong enough for this application (its bends a bit).
And the 5mm raster of holes works ok, but not if you have to use the holes a lot.
At the time i write this, this is all modified and will show in future posts / pages on this website.
